Christmas means --------------
We
all find happiness in different things. The true meaning of Christmas cannot be
found in material things but in making other people genuinely happy. What we
want them to learn is that Christmas is not about the trees, the lights, the
presents, the glitz and glam,” Christians regard Christ as the embodiment of
the word “Emmanuel,” which means, “God with us,” believing as we do that God
was somehow mysteriously present in Jesus of Nazareth.
But
what does that mean for today’s society where often time’s people don’t
associate Christmas with the birth of Jesus and they do nothing to honor his
life by behaving in a way that reflects his teachings?
People
have gotten lost in needing to have the latest technological gadgets and are
often engrossed in the gluttony and over-indulgence of the season. So why not
return to the true meaning of Christmas? Why not make the season of Christmas
filled with love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, caring and sharing thus
living the true spirit of Christmas.
