Hostel Inaguration-2013
The Jesuit Administrative team has been empathetically
listening to the difficulties and problems faced by the women students on
account of the lack of adequate hostel facilities in the city of Chennai and
the frequent request made by the parents over a decade of years to provide
Hostel accommodation to the female students.

The
Society of Jesus deserves our deep appreciation for the courage to withstand
all opposition against the construction of the Women’s Hostel. Loyola College
Management is very magnanimous and generous to carve a women’s hostel out of
Loyola College and provide a conducive atmosphere for higher learning and career
advancement for women.
The
Jesuit pedagogy of education sets high values on social responsibilities,
personal development and discipline through character formation. And thus
students are formed to be leaders with social consciousness and commitment. In
the 21st century when women claim their rightful place at home and
in the society the Jesuits are at the forefront to give equal opportunity for
both boys and girls.
As we open a new page
in history of Loyola College we ask the special blessing of the Lord, that the
inmates live in harmony and cordial relationship in the multi culture and
religious reality of India.
